Mere hours after similar reports on photographers Bruce Weber and Mario Testino, accusations of sexual misconduct have been levied against actor and comedian Aziz Ansari. An article on Babe details the act in question taking place on a date in 2017 with a woman named only as ‘Grace’ for privacy concerns.
After meeting and exchanging contacts at an afterparty for the 2017 Emmy Awards, Ansari invited Grace out on a date. They went out for dinner where the actor “was eager for them to leave” and shortly returned to his apartment. Grace then alleges that the actor tried repeatedly to initiate sex despite multiple verbal and nonverbal communications that she was not interested. “It really hit me that I was violated,” she says, “I felt really emotional all at once when we sat down there. That that whole experience was actually horrible.”
23-year-old Grace* went on a date with Aziz Ansari in September. It turned out to be the worst night of her life. She told babe Ansari pulled her hand towards his penis multiple times and “kept doing it after I moved it away.” She said she remembers him asking again and again, “Where do you want me to fuck you?” Throughout the course of the night, she says she used verbal and non-verbal cues to indicate how unhappy she was. This is a conversation between them the following day where Grace tells Ansari how uncomfortable he made her feel, saying “you ignored clear non-verbal cues” and “kept going with advances.” Read the full story on babe.net.
Grace made her feelings known to Ansari the next day via text, to which he replied “Clearly, I misread things in the moment and I’m truly sorry.” His representatives declined to comment for the article ahead of its publication, and as of press time he has yet to release a statement.
