Vic Mensa Debuts Powerful Alternate “We Could Be Free” Video & Interview on Apple Music

Earlier this morning, Vic Mensa appeared on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show to support the release of the new music video for his song, “We Could Be Free.” The Chicago rapper previously released its original video last month, but as today marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day, in remembrance of the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement — Vic showcases a new set of visuals highlighting the current racial issues currently going on in America.

“At this point in time in the world globally there’s a lot of division based on a lot of fear,” Mensa told Zane. “I wanted to present an alternative that was without fear, something that was more so based in humanity, and that’s what the song ‘We Could Be Free’ represents.”

You could watch a two-minute snippet of the alternate video for “You Could Be Free” below, while it’s entirety can be viewed directly at Apple Music.

In other music news, this live streamer says “Gucci Gang” 1 million times for charity.
